Dairy Barn, established in 2005 by Mr. Babubhai Kanakia under the aegis of Trivenibaa Madhavji Chatrabhuj Kanakia Charitable Trust of the Kanakia Group, is a safe haven for cows. The primary goal of Dairy Barn is to save as many cows as possible from the butchers and slaughter houses and provide them a shelter where they will get special care and treatment for their remaining life.
Mr. Babubhai started Dairy Barn initially with 25 cows which were saved from butchering. He provided them with high quality feed, looked after their hygiene, and did everything he could to make them healthy. Gradually, the cows’ health got better and they even started giving milk. Each cow gave around half to one litre milk.
Following his legacy of last 20 years, Dairy Barn has saved 560 cows till date. We feed the cows with best quality feed to improve and maintain their health. We conduct regular inspections to monitor their health. Most of the cows are with us for years living a healthy life.
Dairy barn has recently stepped into making organic, handmade, pure, and healthy organic ghee straight from the barn to customers’ homes. We also produce organic fertilizer, made out of cow dung, rich in nutrients essential for farming and home plants.
Our sustainable and environment-friendly practices allow us to produce high quality, chemical-free, hand churned ghee which is distributed pan India. Dairy Barn ghee is the product of love and compassion for hundreds of cows staying under one roof.

Mission and Vision
Kanakia Group has included Dairy Barn (gaushala) maintenance as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) mandate for Gaushala maintenance. While our main objective is cow protection, we also provide livelihood support to the rural population through cattle welfare and product maintenance.
